I used to be pretty ashamed about being unfit, mainly due to a pretty bad spinal condition that I have suffered from since I was in my teens. To cut a long story short I ‘literally’ crawled across this fitness ‘technique’ while ‘having’ to climb the staircase in our home because I was in too much pain to walk up it and then, like the famed ‘Aha!’ moment, it dawned on me that I could maybe go back down the same way, and so I did!

I carried on going up and down quite slowly and my heart started to pump, I realised that I had found a way that I could use without pain to get fitter and back to being as fit ‘inside’ as I was back in my early years as a child and teenager. I was so happy and excited that I started the same day, just very gently for a few minutes, and then rested the next day (experience told me to train one day and have the next day as a rest day, this experience was gained from riding my racing bicycle on speed time trials – I was very fit back then – and I missed it badly!). I continued to use the stair case workout for 1 week and I felt ok, a little tired but I just kept going every other day, and after 2 weeks I woke up with so much energy I was amazed, excited, over the moon with happiness! I felt amazing!!
