3 Minute Meditations best review
Are you someone who constantly finds yourself in a state of worry or anxiety, so much so that you can’t sleep at night?Have you recently found yourself overwhelmed to the point that you don’t want to get out of bed in the morning to face the next day?Has the stress in your mind begun to work it’s way into your body to where you’ve either dramatically lost or gained weight to the point that you don’t like looking in the mirror anymore?Do you seem to “lose it” and “fly off the handle” with your children or significant other over the littlest things? Are you so flustered and confused so much so that you find yourself making poor decisions related to work or your life affairs?I’ll tell you right now, if you said YES to any or all of the above, you’re not alone and I know your pain!Hi, I’m Adam Michael Brewer, meditation guide, wellness coach and a mind/body fitness specialist living in Santa Monica, CA where I work with my clients to balance their body, mind and spirit in a unique and individualized way, allowing each person to come alive and truly thrive. Through many years of working with hundreds of clients and spending a great deal of time running “personal experiments”, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, there is  a way to navigate the often turbulent waters of life gracefully and gratefully.Very soon you will learn the secret to living with more joy, peace of mind and greater vitality than you’ve ever imagined. But I’ll have you know, I didn’t always believe this. You see, I wasn’t always this cool, calm and collected customer who provides meditation and wellness tips and advice to companies like Turner Broadcasting and United Health Group. In fact, about 12 years ago, it felt like I didn’t know which way was up in my life. I was working about 60-65 hours a week, my mind was racing a mile a minute causing me to experience regular anxiety attacks, I was short-tempered in just about all scenarios, I was confused and overwhelmed. When you’re overwhelmed, anxious, worried and stressed, you can’t think straight. For me it got to the point that I made some REALLY, REALLY bad life decisions. The worst of which was that I gave someone who I thought I could trust, $20,000 to invest in a virtual fitness business (or so I thought). To make a long story short, as it turns out, there never was a business (he was a scam artist) and he skipped town with my money in tow. Here’s the kicker, I didn’t have that $20,000 to invest. It came from credit cards and almost all the money I had saved for tax purposes that year. This rocked my world and the psychological and financial stress led to physical pain. My back “went out” to the point that I couldn’t work or workout for about 6 months, I was only sleeping about 2-3 hours a night due to the discomfort and my weight plummeted from 155 down to 138 lbs.I knew something had to change. I needed an answer to calm the “chaos” that was my life. I thought about seeing a therapist but had no insurance and wasn’t making a lot of money, so that wasn’t an option.I had been doing some reading and heard that meditation could dramatically “take the edge off” and might help me see the forest for the trees…that it could bring me peace of mind, greater clarity of thought, more energy, increased productivity, and infuse harmony into my relationships. Sounds nice, right?Thankfully the results from these every-so-often sittings were powerful enough that I stuck with it. Almost immediately I felt more centered and at ease…it gave me the ability to wrap my head around what needed to be done to begin to heal. For the first time in my life, I was starting to feel peace of mind. And it was coming from my meditation practice. Now, having said this, I was still struggling to commit to sit every day. When you’re just getting started, it’s not easy to find the time, energy and/or desire to carve out 20-30 minutes a day for meditation with all the other obligations you have in your life.Let’s jump forward to 2010. I was watching TV and saw a PBS special called “The Answer Is You” by Dr. Rev Michael Bernard Beckwith and he spoke about meditation in a way that was “new and fresh”. It really struck a chord with me. As it would happen, he was teaching his methods right here in LA. I began to study……almost immediately I began to base my practice around my intention and consistency of action (sitting) rather than the length of time I spent. Some days I sat for 45 minutes but most days it was only 5-10 minutes. This simple adjustment was like a breath of fresh air, infusing my practice with new-found enthusiasm and made it very easy for me to sit daily. A great deal of.
